Details: I am thinking of buying this model printer & want to use refillable ink cartridges (used them in my previous HP printer with great success) and want to know do they need chips on each cartridge or do they come with attached chips? Also are these chips auto reset or if not how does it work?

Answer: Thank you for your question, Dennis. These cartridges come with auto-reset chips attached. When a cartridge reports as completely empty, removing, refilling, and reinserting the cartridge into the printer will cause it to report as full once again.
