I was delighted at how easy it was to install this CISS. I work in IT support and over the years I’ve learned to dread the moment when I power up a printer and then get it to recognise CISS ink cartridges. The printer usually rejects all of the cartridges in the unit and I spend hours trying everything I know to get the printer working. Not so in this case.

I installed the unit while the printer was switched off, powered it up and got the usual ink cartridge not recognised message. I merely lifted the ink cartridge unit back out of the cradle slightly, clicked it back into position and Eureka the printer happily accepted it. I was printing off reams within in a minute or two.

Great unit at a very reasonable price and so, so easy to fit.

I purchased my CISS ink system for my Canon MG6850 printer in February 2018, after reading positive reviews and looking into a cheaper way of printing.

When the parcel arrived I opened it and was surprised to find the soldering iron, however the YouTube tutorials were comprehensive in taking me through step by step how to modify the printer, prime and load the ink system and install it into the printer. It was a complex process and did require 2 pairs of hands sometimes to make the job easier, and some of the lighting in the videos wasn't the best to see what was being demonstrated. I also had a minor problem with a damaged ink cartridge in my parcel however after a quick email I had a new one in the post toot sweet.

Since completing the installation of the system I have been very impressed with the printing results, great quality and so much more cost effective for me.

I would highly recommend the system to anyone who does a sizeable amount of printing, as after the initial outlay I believe the product will pay for itself in no time at all! Thank you City Ink Express!

I have been using City Ink Express for several years now and have gone through a couple of printers in that time. I use their CISS (constant ink supply system) with our printer that we use for our small business.

I wish I had found the CISS system earlier than I did as it has saved us a small fortune over the last few years that we have been using it.

It is already the second time that I ordered a set of refill bottles for the big cartridges which I got from City Ink Express more than a year ago. These cartridges were easy to install and. They are so big that they protrude from the housing of my old Brother DCP-J125 printer - please see the attached picture. This is an advantage because when I refilled the cartridges from my first set of bottles I even had not to dismantle them from the printer, I just removed the plugs and filled them from the syringe while still in place.

When I first got the big ink bottles together with the cartridges I was somehow sceptical because of their low price as compared with the cost of original cartridges. But after more than a year of continuous use of my printer, after a big number of excellent colour prints of my photographs and documents I am fully convinced that I made the right choice.

After much more than a year, after hundreds of colour prints, the cartridges contain still a good quantity of ink and I have ordered the new bottle set just for the sake of security.
