Month List

I bought a full set of 125ml Lyson inks along with cartridges and separate syringes to fill them last year. Filling the cartridges is simple, but it’s advisable to do it over plenty of newspaper just in case of any spills. It’s easy to get ink on your fingers, but it does no harm and disappears after a couple of days.

I ordered an extra bottle of black ink, as you do tend to use more black than any of the other colours. Next time I’ll have to order just one set, with the black ink having being expended by around 50% more than the other colours.

There was a problem with one of the black cartridges supplied that didn’t work. As I had a second black cartridge, I was up and running after swapping over, but CityInkExpress' response to my support query was immediate and they sent me a fresh cartridge to replace the faulty one.

The inks are indistinguishable to my eye from original Epson ink, and it’s certainly far more cost effective to refill cartridges in this way.

The only problem I’ve encountered is when refilling a cartridge, the printer sometimes won’t start up correctly. The only way I’ve found to fix this is to power up the printer with one of the cartridges unseated so that the printer thinks that it’s not installed. Pushing the cartridge down and going through the printer startup cycle again seems to clear the error.

All in all, top quality ink and brilliant support from CityInkExpress.

I bought the CityInkExpress CIS system a while ago for my Epson printer and it has been invaluable.

I love to see the Epson software hassling me to buy more ink then just resetting and continuing printing (I have the older setup, I understand that the newer ones even reset themselves so even less to do!) I don't print a great deal but it's lasted for three years!

Once it's set up there is nothing else to do, apart from keeping an eye on the ink level in the tanks, which do down very slowly.

It's well worth the initial outlay and has saved me a small fortune and should continue to do so.

I was sceptical about using non manufacturing inks to produce a good photo quality print from my Canon IP8750 printer, but with the extortionate cost to replace the tiny 15ml cartridges supplied by Canon made me give the ink refills from CityInkExpress a try as I would be printing larger size A3 posters.

The instructions and set up were very easy and I printed off an A4 painting on the IP8750 and the print quality was identical with the CityInkExpress refill ink to the same painting I had printed off earlier with the original Canon cartridges.

I was really shocked at the superb quality of the ink refills.

Before taking the plunge with ink refills or the Continuous Ink System I contacted City Ink Express with many questions from an ignorant and rather sceptical position. After being very patient with me over several emails they not only helped me understand the world of printer refilling a lot better but gave great advice on they choice of printers that might be suitable for my needs.

And all this without committing to any purchase or being coerced to do so.

I bought a Continuous Ink System and an printer based on their recommendation and found the set-up video really helpful.

Every time I've had a question, technical or otherwise, they have got straight back to me.

I've since bought multiple Continuous Ink Systems from them along with ink tanks and won't get my ink from anywhere else.

These guys are just brilliant and a valued part of my growing business.

I installed the CISS a week ago. I was impressed by the quality - it is far above average. The installation process is straightforward. After installing cartridges, only the black one was not recognised so had to remove it and shake a bit. It solved the issue. Print quality is very good. Buying original cartridges would have cost me €10 more and wouldn't last long (and I am not printing often). The inks have no smell so keeping printer in bedroom or living room seems to be safe.

I also did not have to make any adjustments to the door that hides the cartridges as I managed to fit the tubes in the gap available at the bottom of the door. I was concerned if it would cause kinking but after a couple of days it looked very good.

Happy so far! Thanks a lot!

This is my fourth purchase of a CIS system, two were bought as printer bundles and another two bought as CISS addons from CityInkExpress over the years for work and home.

As long as you have a few practical skills these are a must. Four children have all passed through secondary school and further education without once ever having to worry about the cost of new cartridges. All my stationary is printed with them for work.

The money saved is just fantastic.

My latest purchase was a Canon IP8750 A3 printer with CISS included and it doesn't dissapoint. If you have never had a continuous ink system try one you will be impressed.

The service from CityInkExpress has always been first class and when I did encounter a small problem it was resolved without any hassle. I would highly recommend them for CISS and ink supplies.

As a degree student I often find myself printing large documents so that I may easier refer to past course work. The price of cartridges for my HP Photosmart 6520 was taking a heavy toll on my already tight budget. After some internet research I stumbled upon the subject of continuous ink systems and CityInkExpress appeared to be a well rated supplier in the UK.

The unit itself came with detailed instructions and where I saw ambiguity the accompanying YouTube video for this model was a massive help. After a somewhat complex fitting procedure I was able to achieve the original standard of prints I observed with manufacturer cartridges. So far the unit has operated reliably for over a year now, saving me a lot of money with my heavy printing habit. I would recommend this product to any other students out there in the same position.
