CISS is an excellent product...

I have been using a City Ink Express CISS bulk ink system on an HP Deskjet Pro 8600 for some months, used mainly by my university age children [who apparently drink printer ink]. Its easy to setup, mess and hassle free. You then simply watch the ink levels, i no longer have to keep buying cartridges every few weeks.

Printing results on plain and photo paper are identical to the OEM cartridges as far as I can see, and above all it works without issues, saves a lot of money and is very convenient!

I was delighted at how easy it was to install this CISS. I work in IT support and over the years I’ve learned to dread the moment when I power up a printer and then get it to recognise CISS ink cartridges. The printer usually rejects all of the cartridges in the unit and I spend hours trying everything I know to get the printer working. Not so in this case.

I installed the unit while the printer was switched off, powered it up and got the usual ink cartridge not recognised message. I merely lifted the ink cartridge unit back out of the cradle slightly, clicked it back into position and Eureka the printer happily accepted it. I was printing off reams within in a minute or two.

Great unit at a very reasonable price and so, so easy to fit.

I purchased my CISS ink system for my Canon MG6850 printer in February 2018, after reading positive reviews and looking into a cheaper way of printing.

When the parcel arrived I opened it and was surprised to find the soldering iron, however the YouTube tutorials were comprehensive in taking me through step by step how to modify the printer, prime and load the ink system and install it into the printer. It was a complex process and did require 2 pairs of hands sometimes to make the job easier, and some of the lighting in the videos wasn't the best to see what was being demonstrated. I also had a minor problem with a damaged ink cartridge in my parcel however after a quick email I had a new one in the post toot sweet.

Since completing the installation of the system I have been very impressed with the printing results, great quality and so much more cost effective for me.

I would highly recommend the system to anyone who does a sizeable amount of printing, as after the initial outlay I believe the product will pay for itself in no time at all! Thank you City Ink Express!

When we heard about continuous ink systems through a friend, we were immediately sceptical, we had always used OEM (original) cartridges and were used to spending £40+ or a set of 4 ink cartridges that would last no longer than 2 months. We had used refills and cheap compatibles in the past and had always been let down. Poor print quality, numerous head cleans and faulty chips meant that we never strayed from Epson originals, begrudgingly as they are so expensive and not very good for the environment.

We thought we would give City Inks a go, the ordering process was simple and easy and the team were on hand to help with any set up questions we had.

We bought the system initially in 2014 and have only had to spend out once more on some more ink to fill up our tanks. So last year instead of spending £240 on ink cartridges, we only spent £40.80 and we haven't had to compromise on quality.

If you are hesitant, please don't be. These are not cheap knock off products which will damage your printer, this system is efficient and cost effective. We will never go back to buying cartridges again.

I have been using City Ink Express for several years now and have gone through a couple of printers in that time. I use their CISS (constant ink supply system) with our printer that we use for our small business.

I wish I had found the CISS system earlier than I did as it has saved us a small fortune over the last few years that we have been using it.

Whenever I have have had occasion to order from City Ink Express, it has always been straight forward and it has been easy to talk to someone over the phone (a rare thing now) who will give me advice on say the best printer for our needs if the one we are using is coming to the end of it's life.
